What can I mix Mommi Prenatal Protein Powder with?

Should I continue to take my prenatal vitamin while taking Mommi Prenatal Protein Powder?

No, Mommi Prenatal Protein Powder includes a full prenatal vitamin and 15 grams of proten with every serving and you should not be taking another prenatal vitamin.

Can I take Mommi Prenatal Protein Powder when I am trying to get pregnant or while I am breastfeeding?

You can take Mommi Prenatal Protein Powder before, during, and after pregnancy as well as when nursing.  Most doctors recommend you start taking a prenatal vitamin up to a year before trying to get pregnant and women who are breastfeeding need about 25 grams of extra protein as well as 400-500 extra calories.  We have many customers that take Mommi Prenatal Protein Powder then they are not pregnant as a meal replacement or nutritional supplement.

How much protein do I need?

How many additional calories do I need for my growing baby?

The average pregnant woman requires about 300 additional calories than prior to be pregnant.  Women who are breastfeeding require an extra 400-500 calories.  Mommi Prenatal Protein Powder has about 290 calories when taken with 12 oz. of 1% milk.  Read more about prenatal nutrition.

Does iron cause constipation?

Iron is very important during pregnancy and helps produce red blood cells, distribute oxygen through your body, and helps maintain your immune system.  Nausea and constipation are common side effects of taking iron supplements and pregnant women are particularly susceptible.  Mommi Prenatal Protein Powder uses a chelated iron that is designed to be more digestible and gentler on your body.
