As with any topic that engenders passion, pregnancy and child bearing comes with its set of myths. While most of them are used in a well-meaning way, they can sometimes be harmful if you follow them to the letter.
EAT TWICE AS MUCH FOOD
Pregnancy is the one time you are encouraged to gain weight. It doesn't mean that you can eat whatever, and whenever. And it doesn't mean you need to eat for two! Eating well and appropriately is essential for your health and that of your baby!
MYTH #2: NOTHING HELPS WITH NAUSEA
Morning sickness stinks but it might not be all that bad. Research indicates that morning sickness (which is not always in the morning) may be a sign that the baby is developing well.
MYTH #3: PREGNANCY IS 9 MONTHS OF FATIGUE
Although fatigue is often experienced in the very early stages of pregnancy there are many ways you can combat the pooped stage!

I've been buying protein powders for YEARS now so I have a refined palette when it comes to judging taste and texture, and I am very discerning about my ingredients. This powder hits the mark for all three of my requirements: taste, texture, ingredients. The true test for me was adding it to plain water (without adding all the fancy fruits/veggies to cover the taste). I was won-over because it can truly stand on its own. I have 4 other Costco-sized protein powders in my pantry that will never be able to pass this test. Having said that, my favorite way to Mommi is by adding the PB powder to the chocolate protein. Nothing better than a healthy, tasty way to get my chocolate and peanut butter fix when I'm short on time hauling my kids around.
Perfect Prenatal Shake
I first tried Mommi in my 3rd trimester--wish I would have known about it sooner! I mix the powder with almond milk, a banana, and ice--for a great tasting chocolate shake. It's great to use on days when you are busy, because it keeps you full and provides so many of those nutrients both mom and baby need!
I love this protein powder! Vanilla is my favorite flavor. It tastes just like a vanilla milkshake. So goood!! It's perfect to curb those sweet cravings you get during pregnancy. The best part is that it is very low in sugar!!! Something that is very hard to come across in specialty protein powders. Especially ones this tasty. The first time I made it I had family over, and they were all trying to steal my drink. My mom regularly asks for me to send her a few scoops. Umm, no! It's all mine!! Also, let's not forget the best part... your prenatal is included! So as well as curbing those sweet cravings, and getting your protein in, you are also making sure baby gets what he/she needs! I'm definitely going to continue using this throughout breastfeeding, and quite possibly beyond that. It is better tastin than a lot of the protein powders I would take pre pregnancy. - Victoria
