In Kristi’s Words:
As a new mom with an active little boy–who wants to do more than his little body is able–I must constantly stop what I am doing and return dropped toys. Doing the dishes can easily turn into two hours of air squats. That’s why I am so excited to share with you this new baby product line that my talented and creative sister Kimberly Pratt created.
Kimberly is a mother of four wild and crazy boys–whom definitely keep her busy. She was also frustrated with the constant fetch routine she played with her children. From her exhaustion she created bibs that have a leash which holds a pacifier, toy, or anything else that your little one might need within reach. She is also very fashion forward, so she wanted something that could still be stylish while being functional.
(there are also coordinating blankets & hats to make the perfect gift sets!)
I was one of the rare lucky one’s who received her custom made bibs when she first was starting out, and let me tell you, I DON’T GO ANYWHERE WITHOUT THESE BIBS! I love them for so many reasons, but here are just a few of them:
- They keep my teething baby’s toys in complete reach of him at all times
When we are in public places, I don’t have to worry about him dropping his toy and it getting dirty, because it is always attached to him. When we’re at home, I can accomplish other tasks while he plays, if he lets go of the toy it stays right by him!
(My little one at home, enjoying having his teething ring within reach while he plays on the ground)
- The fabric is soft, durable & absorbs all his drool and spit-up
He has other bibs out there that are either scratchy and/ or thin. They don’t really absorb much and eventually his drool leaks through onto his clothes. Some that are thicker are scratchy and not soft, my little boy is already picky about the textures that touch his skin, he HATES them if they are uncomfortable.
- They look so good, like they are apart of his outfit
I don’t know about you, but one thing that bothers me about baby/ children clothing and other products are the cutesy sayings and/ or animals that are just cheesy (especially with little boy items). I am drawn to clean lines, clean colors and non busy things. I want my baby to shine and be noticed, not some silly animal or catchy saying. These bibs complete his outfits. They coordinate with everything he wears and I feel like they show off his cuteness, instead of distracting from it. These bibs look great with more formal outfits as well as his casual wear.

Kimberly, being the entrepreneur and forwarding thinking mama she is, wanted to share her product with all moms who have their hands full! But she definitely can’t keep up with the demand by hand making them on her own, out of her home! So, she designed her own fabric patterns, contacted manufacturers in India and started requesting them to make her samples of her bibs. Samples came, but they weren’t quite right. After a few more tries, she decided to travel to India to meet these manufacturers face to face. She found a manufacturer who shared her vision for high quality baby bibs, blankets & hats using 100% Organic Cotton and her fabric designs. While she was there she saw that there was no child labor in this factory and no other in human practices, which also made her feel more comfortable with choosing this manufacturer. She returned to the US and awaited to receive the samples that they made for her. Once they arrived she knew that trip made it all worth it, finally a product that met her stringent standards. Now she needs to place a large order with them to get her company off the ground. She launched her Kickstarter on March 8th, 2015 (her birthday) and it is running for 30 days. She needs to raise $15,000 in order to place a large enough order with them. She has some great rewards for backing Freckle Baby (especially for some of the Early Backers). She is offering bibs and gifts sets, so if you have little ones (or are expecting) or know anyone who you think would appreciate these great items, please head over to the Kickstarter campaign and become a backer today and share it with your friends! $20 can get you 2 of these awesome bibs! I purchased 4 gift sets because they are easy, awesome gifts to give all my friends who are expecting little ones! As a new mom I know I would LOVE to receive these gift sets for my little ones!
Freckle Baby plans on doing giveaways during the Kickstarter Campaign and then weekly during the summer. Make sure to follow them on Instagram & Twitter and like their page on Facebook to stay in the loop!
