I had a pretty successful week in my fitness/ weight-loss goals! So I will start with all the good news and share with you how I got there!
To this date I have lost 5.9lbs & 2% body fat! It feels so good that it is coming off (even though it’s coming off slower that I’d hoped, it’s still progress). I know there is room for improvement with my diet and exercise, but it’s baby steps!
One of the things that makes this so easy is drinking Mommi shakes every morning. It gives me a great start to getting my protein needs, helps curb my desire for sweets, and because it contains 100% of the needed prenatal vitamins & DHA I can feel great that I am getting the nutrients I need each and everyday. Prenatal are not just vitamins you should take when you are pregnant and nursing; they are great for everyday! Plus your hair, skin and nails will LOVE the benefits too!
Meal prep REALLY helps me make the right food choices and let me eat healthy even when my baby makes it hard! Some days he stresses me out and exhausts me so much that I think “I could really use a bowl of ice cream”, but I know this won’t help me feel better about myself in the long run. I am so grateful that I have my husband who supports me and reminds me of my goals.
Last Saturday I attended a free Bootcamp that was put on by some of the trainers at my gym. It was fun to get together with a group of people and push myself a little harder. My husband and I went together and we took our little boy. The first half he hung out on a blanket in the park and then he got a little fussy, so we had to include him in our workouts. He definitely added a second level of a challenge for us, but he LOVED being apart of it. I’ve noticed a lot of different groups offering free Saturday bootcamps in different locations, so check on Facebook and other social media outlets to try to find some close to you!
I also have been doing Sara Haley’s #BetterBootyChallenge, which has been a lot of fun and a great challenge! Check out my previous posts on it. This week I also started her 4th Trimester workout videos. They are great and really offer different levels of difficulty so you can work at your own pace, so I love it! She is REALLY encouraging in her videos and makes me feel like I can do it! I highly recommend getting these videos for yourself! Check out her site www.sarahaley.com
Tuesday was by far my BEST day! I reached ALL my Fitbit goals and worked out hard!
– I ran 1.6 miles with Maverick
– Did the #BetterBootyChallenge
– Sara Haley’s Mat Core video
– This HIIT workout @ home
– Ran up and down my huge hill 10x which ended up being another mile
Here is my heart rate data from my hill runs. Keeping my heart rate in these zones for that long help me continue to burn fat for days after my workout!
I was pretty proud of myself!
My goals for this coming week are to have more days like Tuesday, at least 3 of those intense days a week.
I’m feeling good about my future weight-loss and feel like I can achieve my goals!
