“… and in the morning, I’m making WAFFLES!”
H A P P Y NATIONAL WAFFLE DAY!
We love all these WACKY HOLIDAYS — especially when they have to do with yummy food! When we can add Mommi 3-in-1 to them……then that makes it EVEN BETTER! So, today we are sharing our SUPER YUMMY Mommi Protein waffle recipe! These, I promise, are super yummy, my husband even LOVED them! You can freeze the extras and pop them into the toaster to heat them up, JUST LIKE EGGO’s (ummm… are you serious? awesome!)! So, ready or not, here they are:
2 Cups Oat Flour (just grind raw oats in blender to make the flour)
2 Tbsp Ground Flax
3 Scoops of Mommi 3-in-1 Vanilla (order at mommi.com/shop, use coupon code MOMMIWAFFLES for 30% Off)
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Cups Almond Milk (or milk of choice)
4 Egg Whites
In a bowl mix together Oat Flour, Mommi 3-in-1, Flax, Baking Powder & Cinnamon. Mix until blended. Add Milk, Vanilla & Egg Whites and mix until blended.
Allow batter to sit for 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken up a bit. While you wait, preheat waffle iron on med-high.
Cook batter on waffle Iron until golden brown. Serve with berries, nut butters, and/ or syrup.
Store left overs in freezer bags and keep in freezer. When you want to re-heat them, just toss them in the toaster.
My waffle iron makes a large waffle, so it made about 5 waffles, the batter doesn’t really spread, so you need to fill your batter to the edges when pouring it in.
