So it’s October and everybody (including me…) has pumpkin on the brain. And why shouldn’t they? Pumpkin is delicious! BUT let’s not forget about all the other delicious fall flavors…like apple pie! It’s pretty much the most American, cozy, fall, missing home type of food out there. So why not turn that delicious food into a healthy shake, right? I know, that’s what you were thinking too…
I’m excited to announce that I’ll continue to be teaming up with mommi to share some awesome, monthly fall/winter s hake recipes. We’ll be working together to provide you with a shake recipe for each month, one that fits the season (Who’s thinking December Peppermint Shake!?). I’ll be using mommi protein powder in all these shake recipes. If you missed my last post all about how fantastic mommi protien powder is, you can read about it here (along with another great shake recipe – banana bread shake…)

Ingredients
1 medium apple, peeled and chopped (whatever kind you like)
1/3 cup raw oats
1/3-1/2 cup greek yogurt
1 packet Mommi 3-in-1 vanilla protein powder (to order go to www.mommi.com/shop)
1 Tbsp. peanut butter (you could use any nut butter)
1/2 cup skim milk
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3-4 ice cubes
Pinch of stevia/other sweetener (optional)
Cinnamon, apple chunks and walnuts and/or almonds for topping (optional)Directions1. Place all ingredients (except walnuts/almonds) in a blender and blend until desired consistency is reached.
2. Top with walnuts and/or almonds and a dash of cinnamon and apple chunks (if desired)
3. Relax, cuddle up and enjoy!
