You go through 40 weeks and build up excitement the whole time to meet your bundle of joy. Your doctor even tells you it looks like you will go into labor early and all the signs are there… and then you wait… and wait… and wait. Nothing! How do you even handle the anticipation??!!
Carly, a 3rd time mom is going through just that and talked to The Mommi Files today about the waiting game at the end of her pregnancy – and what she is doing to not go crazy and we love her story.
So we asked her a few questions about her experience with pregnancy, motherhood and anything inbetween and we LOVED her responses. We think you will too!

What is your go-to advice for figuring out motherhood?
Spend at least 20 minutes of uninterrupted time playing with each of your children every day. I remember realizing that I was so busy around the house and with other things I wasn’t spending quality time with my children. Once I focused on doing it for even 20 minutes a day it made a major difference in their behavior and our relationship.
What was your favorite healthy recipe during this pregnancy?
Quinoa + hummus + black beans + feta cheese + cherry tomatoes + avocado bowls = Just make everything and keep it in tupperware in the fridge all week. Throw it in a bowl, in a wrap or on top of lettuce. It’s always amazing and so easy and healthy!
Thanks for sharing Carly! We wish you all the best in your upcoming delivery with Baby Boy – we will post a follow-up photo of the cute little man once he is here:).
